The AST pilot genetic AST 530 had superior performance in all trials across the Midwest in 2023. A link to the MHRC comparative yield trials can be found here.
The AST 530 variety of industrial hemp was awarded AOSCA certification in January of 2024. Foundation seed was planted in April.
The AST 530 is being trialed at Kansas State University, the University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin, Michigan State University, Purdue University, The University of Kentucky and Pennsylvania State University.
AST Genetics received SARE funding to conduct planting density trials and research utilizing the AST 530 variety. Please navigate to the 2024 SARE project page for more information.
